Mission 2.2.3.3 To perform 4 pilot performance audits on EU Funds, ICT, public procurement and progress in implementing public internal financial control

The Bulgarian and Macedonian auditors are actively working on the pilot performance audit "Cross-Border Cooperation Programme - FYR Macedonia - Republic of Bulgaria“. The objective of the performance audit is to give an assessment of the analysed activities, to offer possibilities for improvement of the requirements for functioning and implementation of the programme, and to give an answer to the question: "Is the management of the Programme for Cross-Border Cooperation IPA FYR Macedonia - R. Bulgaria 2014-2020 effective?"

The added value of the audit and its recommendations will be focused on improving the system for programme management, selection of quality projects, transparency and equal treatment of applicants, and improving the monitoring system in order to realise the specific objectives of the programme.
